From over 100 offices worldwide, Bartlett helps both residential and commercial customers maintain beautiful, healthy trees. Bartlett is dedicated to developing environmentally sound products and promoting their use on our clients' properties. With the Bartlett Legacy Tree Program, Bartlett provides tree seedlings to help with reforestation efforts, and teaches people how to care for trees. Its services include cabling and bracing, deer management, drought services, emergency tree service, fertilization and soil management, insect and disease management, tree lightning protection systems, mosquito sprays, plant analysis and diagnostics, pruning, storm damage solutions, tick management, tree inspections, tree inventory and management plan, tree/stump removal, and tree structure evaluation.

The Challenge

Oracle EBS 11i have been in the company for a small group of users for financials, Procurement and HRMS for over 10 Years. The initial implementation has over 300 CEMLIS and the business stakeholders are enthusiastic to learn what Oracle R12 is to offer. They need a more streamlined procurement and financial system with little maintenance. An expert who can handhold them through the upgrade process and who can analyze their business processes to automate several of them in the new upgraded EBS environment. The challenge is not only with respect to transitioning from the Old 11i to the new R12 instance, but with respect to the enhanced capabilities and how to leverage them in their business for improved performance and efficiency.

The Solution

Strategy to meet the tight deadlines while defining the complete testing scope and detailed planning are the top priorities. As part of the upgrade solution, performed Pre Upgrade analysis, coordinated on patches, implemented iExpense as a new extension and delivered various integrations and CEMLI conversion from 11i to R12.

Collaborating with Oracle support, redesigned the complete catalog authoring process and implemented necessary iProcurement components. Mitigated, customer need for manual reconciliation, day to day process extensions, accounting process, and audit requirements. SLA historical information and drilldown capabilities for 5 Years’ worth of data has been restored.
